Samantha Drummond has delivered design management and interior design in excess of US$25 billion, working alongside clients and hospitality visionaries to create resorts that are game-changing for their country.

In the process, Sam has commissioned and collaborated with the elite amongst architects and artists, chefs and luxury brands, bringing to life remarkable guest experiences while steering project programmes to a successful conclusion. She has also used her profound understanding of the power of design to revive the fortunes of restaurants and bars and has created new dining destinations around the world.

Sam has lived and worked in Asia, Europe and the Middle East as well as her native Australia. As a result, her outlook is international and her network is worldwide.

She is used to working with UHNWI clients, which has honed her appreciation of what luxury means and what it demands of the project team at every stage in the process from concept to design development and fit-out on site.

Strategy and detail

Sam works from the broad canvas to the tiniest details in order to harmonise the effort of project managers, architects, designers and other team members and to make sure that everyone is aligned with the client’s vision. Industries she works across include: integrated resorts, luxury hotels, F&B, retail and residences.

Her wide skill set, design instinct and appetite for innovation means that her current projects range from a new integrated resort in Asia to a fine dining restaurant in Northern Europe. In 2016, she established her own interior design firm, Habitus Design Group, while continuing to work with other acclaimed architects and designers, and most recently she has formed Husk, bringing together strategists, Michelin star chefs and design specialists to devise and deliver food & beverage concepts for restaurants, bars, resorts and hotels across the Globe.

Together with world-renowned architect, Moshe Safdie, Samantha worked closely with Las Vegas Sands’ CEO and executives to develop a modern, state-of-the-art destination that quickly became the flagship of Singapore’s leisure and tourism offering.
